Rep. Mike Levin’s Statement on Vote Against the 2025 Short-Term Government Funding Bill
Washington, D.C.- Today, Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49) released the following statement regarding his vote against the Republicans’ 2025 short-term government funding bill.
“A deal is a deal. We had a bipartisan agreement and House Republicans reneged on that because of temper tantrums on social media by Billionaire-in-Chief Elon Musk.
“Tonight’s Republican bill was drafted last minute and removed several key provisions to protect working families and healthcare for kids. It raises the debt ceiling to allow Trump to pass a massive tax cut in 2025 for billionaires like Musk without having to worry about the impact on the national debt. Trump’s Congressional allies claim to care about bringing down the national debt, but their actions prove otherwise.”
